About Medicine Bow

Medicine Bow is a wind-scoured town of friendly folk who demonstrate the frontier spirit. It is sun-drenched, snow-blanketed, and sunset-tinted. Medicine Bow is infused with rich history and culture: the dinosaurs giving up their bones; the nomadic Native Americans leaving their arrowheads; the mountain men trapping the waters, the pioneers traveling in their wagon trains, the Transcontinental Railroad speeding across the country, the ranchers and cowboys shaping culture, the saloons and brawlers adding notoriety, the author creating the first western novel, the highway ushering in the age of automobiles, the airplanes delivering the mail, the livestock feeding and clothing the country, the mines creating booms and busts, and the wind-turbines breathing new life into the town. But most importantly, although Medicine Bow has a history worth preserving, it is a great place to live in now.
