Ski and Soak Loop
Grab your skis and a
towel, and head East on Highway 30 towards Laramie. In
Laramie, take Snowy Range Road, Southwest, toward
Centennial. Pass Centennial, and watch for the Snowy
Range Ski Area. Spend the day on the slopes, and head
home early enough to spend an hour or so at the
Saratoga Hot Springs. Go home via Saratoga by
continuing west on the road you came in on. At the
Junction, head north (follow signs to Saratoga). Watch
for a sign on the right to the Hobo Pool, just after
you enter Saratoga. After your soak, travel north on
130, pass under the freeway, and head back northeast
on Highway 30 again, back to Medicine Bow.
The Ski area is about 1 1/2 hours from Medicine
Bow. It is about another hour to Saratoga, then
another hour back to Medicine Bow.
Check the roads
before you travel!
This loop is only open through part of the year.
The roads to the Ski Area and the Hot Springs are open
all year, but the road in between is closed for the
coldest months.
Visit the Hot Springs any time.
