| Community Hall Grand Re-Opening |
|
The old Medicine Bow community hall has risen from dormancy, and is ready for use again. The old building went through a renovation over the spring and summer of 2009, thanks to a grant from the Wyoming Business Council. Although the Centennial celebration in June was before the official re-opening, a Youth dance was held on Friday night of that weekend, and the Fireman's breakfast was held on Saturday morning.
A dining area, kitchen, and other rooms were replaced by new Town Council chambers, and an education/meeting room downstairs. The upstairs dance floor was replaced, a small kitchen was added, and education/meeting rooms were refurbished. All meeting rooms are internet ready.
Grand re-opening ceremonies were held on Saturday, August 15, 2009. Guests were treated to barbecued pulled pork for lunch, a short speech by Mayor Kevin Coleman, and an opportunity to rub elbows with other community members.
