Commercial Space
Airport
We have a small grass field airport
for private planes. By car, it is an hour to Laramie for
a full service airport; an hour-and-a-half from Cheyenne
and Casper; and three and-a-half hours from
Denver.
Other Transportation
Greyhound Buses make regular stops
in Laramie, and Rawlins.
Train tracks run through on edge of
town and are available for industrial or manufacturing
transport use.
Population Base
Current population of Medicine Bow
is just under 300.
Employee Base For Manufacturing
Distances are greater in Wyoming,
and mean less to residents. The Potential Employee base
for Medicine Bow includes the towns of Rock River,
Laramie, Arlington, Elk Mountain, Rawlins, and Hanna.
These areas are all within 1 hour travel time (reasonable
commute time). We have no slowdown due to rush hour, so
travel miles per hour is greatly increased here during
commute times. Total population of all areas listed is
around 25,000.
