Remembering Old Friends
With
the recent death of Medicine Bow
resident Agnes Heward and my monthly
look at photos for this website, I am
reminded of what I liked most about the
community of Medicine Bow - the people.
During the late 1970s and most of the
1980s, it was always interesting and
enjoyable to stop by the local
establishments to see the great,
friendly residents...

...Such as Agnes Heward, shown here as
a volunteer at the front door of the
Medicine Bow Museum...

...And Mary and Don Cooper of Cooper
Chevrolet, which at the time was one of
the longest-running car sales and auto
repair businesses in Wyoming...
|

|
...And Carol Cook, the town clerk, at
the Medicine Bow Town Hall on Pine
Street...

|
|
...And Barbara Weiser, who is shown here working
on advertisement layouts or other tasks at the
Medicine Bow Post newspaper office (currently
Barbara is the director of the Medicine Bow
Museum)...

...And the many other wonderful people who
helped to make Medicine Bow a great community. To
all of them, I am very grateful for the opportunity
of their friendship and I also would like to thank
them for being a special part of the community of
Medicine Bow which I called...and still call...my
home. --David L. Roberts
