In the 1980s, Ethel Nash provided a
friendly welcome at the Como Bluff
Fossil Cabin. With sunlight accenting
the screen, Ethel's portrait was taken
as she looked through the screen
door.

The Medicine Bow area has lots of
interesting places to visit. The beautiful
stained glass window in St. Luke's
Episcopal Church provides a pictorial
history of Medicine Bow. In one of the
pictures in the window, Ab Irene is
depicted as the cowboy on the horse. The
Virginian Hotel, the Union Pacific
Railroad, sheep and cattle ranching and
other scenes are part of the window.

Another photo from the 1980s, Vicki
Scott is pictured beside an antique piano
at the historic Virginian Hotel. The
elegantly decorated hotel is a grand place
to visit in Medicine Bow.

In the 1980s when the Medicine Bow
Museum first opened, Klayton Oltmanns was
one of the student tour guides. He and
others did a great job in welcoming
visitors at the museum.
